    GDA 2020 support in Mapinfo

    In December 2017 ICSM (Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping) published additional details about GDA 2020 datum support. GDA 2020 technical manual can be found here: http://www.icsm.gov.au/gda/GDA2020TechnicalManualV1.1.1.pdf It is very straightforward to add support for GDA 2020 datum to MapInfo by modifying mapinfow.prj file. We will use custom datum definition based on 7-parameter similarity transformation published by ICSM. We will publish details on how to incorporate them into your version of MapInfo shortly. Version 17.0 will support GDA 2020 datum right out of the box. We are also investigating how to support time dependend datum transformation in a future.
